Mine Location Publications

The Vug Hunter publishes a large variety of booklets designed to give you detailed location information for sites of interest to active rockhounds.   The mineral property information contained in these publications is compiled from a master database that we continue to expand and refine every month.   Information originated from records of the United States Bureau of Mines with some of the data dating as far back as the late 1800's.   Most, however, was gathered during World War II and the Korean War periods and during mineral land assessments conducted in the 1980's and 1990's for federal land management agencies such as the US Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management.

Our publications include:

Mine Tracker A compendium of mining claim locations and found mineral products organized by location within a specified county.
Pocket Prospector Handy pocket sized guides, great for field use, that give mining claim information for sites within a particular geographical area of interest.
Gemstone Mines Locations of gemstone claims within each state.   Sites are organized by location (longitude).
Special Pubs Interested in copper, coal or gypsum?   Our special pubs highlight claim site data for these and other interesting commodities.

Feel free to contact The VugHunter to inquire about any of these publications for your area of interest.
