Support the Troops

During the Gulf and Iraq wars, when so many U.S. troops were deployed, it brought a tear to my eye seeing all of the displays of support shown by homeowners, motorists, students, and businesses. U.S. flags were proudly displayed (and still are!), and the traditional Yellow Ribbons were not only tied around the Old Oak Tree, but were showing up in some of the most creative places! All signs that we were keeping our warriors in mind; would welcome returning Veterans with open arms; and honor those who who made the ultimate sacrifice.
