Salome and her sister Delilah came to us as abandoned puppies in 1993. They were shop dogs until 1994 when a drunken neighbor shot at them with a shotgun. Salome lost most of the muscle and tissue on her right leg but being the tough dog she was she recovered and lived another 12 years until she met a foe she could not beat. On May 19th 2006 she was diagnosed with Auto-Immune
Hemolitic Anemia. She fought a courageous battle until June 18th 2006 when other medical complications forced us to make the decision to let her go. Our lives are sadder now but our hearts are filled with memories of this very special lady.

Salome in 1994 with her boyfriend Blue. The other pictures are of her and her sister when they first came to us. Salome is on the right in the second picture, as well as her doing what we named her "bitch bark" Basically "I want your undivided attention now!"
Something she would continue to do throughout her life.
This page is dedicated to the dogs and cats and the people who loved them that like Salome lost their fight to this dreadful disease.
