Another unique thing is that two complete floors
of each new Twin, located at the respective primary
impact points, will be set aside as meditation
space:
One floor per building for the general public;
one floor per building for survivors and families
of the dead. Above the meditation floors will be
garden
floors, which can be expanded or reduced
in number as commercial needs dictate, but never
less than three or four floors per tower, and the
garden floors will
also serve as a gravity-activated
water reservoir in the event of catastrophic fires
on the floors below.
The new Twin Towers will also include inter-tower
bridges, on the roofs and at several levels of both
buildings, which can be extended between towers
to
facilitate emergency evacuations. Each bridge
will have its own power source, and also be manually
deployable.
